Technical assistance on COVID-19 Vaccine Access: Policy, Planning and Implementation

In collaboration with the Australian National Center for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research Vietnam will work with UNICEF Viet Nam to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) in two identified technical assistance areas as discussed below. Mainly the development of a targeted COVID-19 Vaccine communications strategy for community engagement and support development of the implementation plan, communication capacity building plan for health care workers involved in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

 

Technical Assistance 1: Design and develop a targeted COVID-19 vaccine communications plan (to be named in consultation with UNICEF and MOH) for community engagement at subnational level in consultation with the MOH

 

Technical Assistance 2: Developing implementation plan for the targeted COVID-19 vaccine communications strategy, inclusive of tools and materials for building the capacity of health workers and other workers involved in COVID-19 community engagement.

 

The project starts from April 2022 and is expected to complete within one year.
